My Medicine Cabinet

Cookie notice

My Medicine Cabinet uses only storage that is needed to run the service: keeping you signed in and remembering your settings. There is no advertising, tracking or profiling.

Last updated 30 July 2026. This page is maintained by Bernard Piccione and describes how My Medicine Cabinet works. It is not an independent certification or legal advice.

The short version

  • No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics and no cross-site tracking.
  • What we store is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy rules.
  • Everything below lives on your own device and can be cleared at any time in your browser.

What we store on your device

  • Sign-in session: your authentication token and refresh token, stored by the sign-in system so you stay signed in between visits. Cleared when you sign out.
  • Language preference: the language you picked, or "auto" when following your device language.
  • Colour scheme and theme: your chosen palette and light/dark/system setting.
  • Time zone prompt: a short-lived note (for the current browser session only) that we already asked whether to switch to your device time zone.
  • Onboarding progress: which setup step you reached, so the wizard can resume.

How long it lasts

Session tokens last until they expire or you sign out. Preferences stay until you change them or clear your browser storage. The time-zone note disappears when you close the browser tab.

Third parties

  • Signing in with Google or Apple sends you to their sign-in page, where their own cookies apply.
  • Pharmacy and doctor lookup calls OpenStreetMap Nominatim with only the text you type.
  • Emails we send do not contain tracking pixels.

Browser notifications

If you choose browser reminders, the browser asks for notification permission. That permission is stored by the browser, not by us, and you can withdraw it in your browser's site settings at any time.

How to clear it

Sign out to remove the session, or clear cookies and site data for this site in your browser settings. Clearing storage signs you out and resets your preferences; your medication records stay safe in your account.
